| Missions Current Information In 1999 Chris & Diane Machen began doing mission trips to foreign countries for the purpose of supporting missionaries in the area of worship and evangelism. The Master’s Music Company is partnering with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Global Missions Fellowship, Change the World Ministries and Capturing Poland for Christ. The vision started with a conference on the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea for the IMB missionaries serving in the Middle East and North Africa. Chris & Diane were invited to lead worship for 600 missionaries and their families. Many of these missionaries are in areas of the world where they have to do their ministry in “hiding,” rarely worshipping in English. God is using these “heroes of the faith” mightily. From time to time the missionaries come together at a sight where they can have a “time of refreshing.” Such was the conference in Cyprus. You’ve never heard worship so magnificent. Chris & Diane were overwhelmed by the experience. Some individuals from stateside churches volunteered time to minister to the “practical needs” of the missionaries. There were doctors, dentists, beauticians and computer experts, just to name a few. The missionaries were so encouraged by the whole week. Chris began dreaming, praying and talking to individuals about the possibility of doing this type of ministry elsewhere in the world. Little by little, doors have begun to open for the Master's Music in Western and Eastern Europe and even the Far East. In June 2001 a team led by Chris, the Master's Music staff went to Yong Pyong, Korea to lead worship for a conference of Southern Baptist Missionaries in the Western Pacific region. On the same trip, Chris led a team to Mongolia to do concerts and worship workshops for the local church leaders. Over 200 decisions for Christ were registered. In 2002 Chris, Diane, their kids Jennifer & Ryan, along with a team of 21 went to Germany for a outdoor crusade in the city of Magdeburg near Berlin. Many came to faith in Christ. The highlight of the trip happened through the students that went on the trip. They were able to sing, dance and witness to students in a private school for three days. They met with nearly every class explaining life in America, speaking English with the German students, but more importantly, sharing their faith in Christ. Many of the German student then came to the evening crusade. You should have see our kids trying to teach the Germany kids how to Texas Line Dance. It was hilarious! Check out the photos! In the next two years, the Master's Music will take teams to Poland and Mongolia and are tentatively planning trips to England and Romania. Brent Edwards, worship leader, minister of music and lifelong friend of Chris, is in charge of these outreach efforts for the Master’s Music. Brent not only deals with the details of the mission trips, but also is responsible for inviting church praise teams from the United States to join us in these conferences and evangelism opportunities.
