| Biographies Meet Chris & Diane
Chris and Diane have recorded for Word Records, Urgent Records, Discovery House Music and the Master's Music Company. They have appeared with such artists as Wayne Watson, Steven Curtis Chapman, Scott Wesley Brown, Larnelle Harris, the Imperials, Damaris Carbaugh and Luke Garrett. They have appeared on national television, and their songs have been played on Christian radio across the nation. The Machens continue to contribute to Christian Music in the field of songwriting, having over 500 songs in their catalog. These include titles recorded by various artists such as the Gatlin Brothers, The Imperials, Luke Garrett, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Steve and Annie Chapman, Steve Amerson and The Talleys. A great blessing to the Machens has been the opportunity to write and publish music for choirs. Some familiar anthem titles include "Bow the Knee," "God is Able," "I Have Seen the Light," "And God Cried," "God Still Moves," "Wise Men Still Seek Him," "Not By Might," "To Him Be Glory," and "Crown Him." Some of the musicals written are More Than Just A Man, Save In the Cross, Gift of Heaven, Bow the Knee, I Have Seen the Light, The Night the Angels Sang, The Power of His Touch, Journey of Hope, and a children's musical entitled, In God We Trust. Word, Brentwood-Benson, Lillenas, Lifeway, Shawnee Press, Hal Leonard and the Master's Music Company have all published songs by Chris and Diane. The great desire of Chris and Diane's heart is to serve God faithfully through their music. Their ministry goals are to lead the Church in worship and reach non-believers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which they have done for over twenty years in a traveling concert and conference ministry. They now continue to do this at the new north location of the Prestonwood Baptist Church of Plano, Texas where Chris is the Worship Pastor (www.prestonwood.org/north). The greatest joy of Chris and Diane's life is the blessing of their children: Jennifer, a graduate of Baylor University as of May 2006 and wife of Stephen Bush as of June 2006, and Ryan, also a Baylor student. Simply stated, Chris and Diane are real people with a real desire to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.

Chris also wrote the Broadway-esque musical Journey of Hope and performed the lead part of Simeon. He has sung on radio and television ads, directed choir clinics across the nation and has been the worship leader in major conferences throughout the country. Chris has also led groups from the United States in international mission efforts in Europe and the Far East. Mr. Machen hails from Chandler, Arizona. He studied music at Baylor University and holds a Master of Church Music degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Chris has served as a minister of music and minister to students, and was ordained to the gospel ministry by the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. The Machens' greatest joy is their children: Jennifer a graduate of Baylor University as of May 2006 and wife of Stephen Bush as of June 2006, and Ryan, also a Baylor student.
For as long as she can remember, Diane has been involved in music and ministry. As a soloist with the Continental Singers, music major in college, piano teacher, studio vocalist, and concert artist she has had many opportunities to be used of the Lord in music. For over twenty years, Diane and her husband, Chris, have served the Lord in full-time music ministry. Traveling throughout the country, they have sung concerts, led worship, and ministered in ladies retreats and marriage conferences. As seasoned songwriters, the music of Chris and Diane has been published by Word, Lillenas, Royal Tapestry, Benson, Sparrow, Lifeway and other publishers. Presently, Diane is working alongside her husband who is the worship pastor of the new north location of the Prestonwood Baptist Church of Plano, TX. (www.prestonwood.org/north). Diane also continues to write and sing.
